GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -
Police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect shown in surveillance images taken at the time of an armed robbery.
The man appeared to act as a lookout during the armed robbery of the Goose Creek Walmart on Wednesday night, according to Goose Creek Police Lt. Thomas Hill.
Hill said the man is a person of interest in the robbery and the attempted murder of several customers and a store employee. Police say the man entered the store and took up a location where he had a view of the registers and remained there until the two suspects who robbed the store entered.
At that point, Hill said, the man left the store and drove away in a newer model Chevrolet Impala.
Goose Creek police say the robbery occurred at the St. James Avenue Walmart at approximately 11:01 p.m. and officers continue to search for two suspects.
Anyone with information on the man's identity is asked to call Goose Creek Police Investigator Dodson at 843-863-5200, ext. 2337 or Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
