MCCLELLANVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are searching for two suspects who allegedly fired gunshots into a home occupied by six people over a possible case of "snitching."
Deputies say the shooting took place at a home on Old Collins Creek Road in McClellanville Wednesday around 9 p.m.
A report states four people where in the living room of their home when they heard gunfire outside and saw their front door window shatter. The family dropped to the floor and crawled to safety.
After the shooting, witnesses say a gray SUV was spotted leaving the scene.
Deputies say an unoccupied gray Isuzu Rodeo was found front first into a ditch at the intersection of Putman Drive at Old Collins Creek Road.
A witness told authorities the vehicle is regularly operated by Deon Geathers, and the witness saw Geathers in the area of the collision.
Charleston County deputies have named Geathers and Trevor Tramyane Gibbs as possible suspects in the shooting.
The victims told officers they think the shooting occurred because the suspects believe one of the victims "snitched" on a co-defendant in a pending case.
No one was injured in the shooting.
