JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies are investigating a Wednesday night armed robbery at Little Caesar's Pizza on James Island.
According to the Sheriff's Office, an armed suspect wearing a ski mask went inside the Folly Road pizza place and demanded money from the safe around 9:20 p.m.
Deputies say the suspect forced an employee to empty a cash register in a Little Caesar's bag. The suspect also attempted steal money from the store's safe, but could not get an inside compartment to open due to a time release setting.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Officials say the Charleston County K9 Unit responded, but was unable to track the suspect.
