ORANGEBURG, SC (WIS) - Four people have been charged in connection with a shooting that left a South Carolina State University football player dead last Friday.

Kevin Winningham, 22, of Orangeburg, Darius Frazier, 23, of Cordova, Shannon Davis, 27, of Orangeburg, and Raymone Reed, 23, of Charleston, have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Arrest warrants indicate the four traveled with 19-year-old Justin Singleton to SC State on January 24.

Investigators say Singleton was arguing with 20-year-old Brandon Robinson outside Hugine Suites, a student apartment dorm, when Singleton pulled out a gun and fired. Robinson was hit in the neck. He was taken to an area hospital where he died.

The five men fled the scene in Singleton's vehicle, according to arrest warrants.

Singleton was later arrested and charged with murder.

Robinson was a junior industrial engineering technology major from Orangeburg and played football as an outside linebacker and defensive end for SC State, the university said.

All five defendants are being held at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center.
