CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 21-year-old man wanted on drug-dealing charges surrendered to Charleston police Tuesday, a few days after he was profiled as a Most Wanted suspect on Live 5 News.
According to Charleston Police Department records, Terone Lavince Lawson turned himself in Tuesday morning at police headquarters on Lockwood Drive.
Lawson is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana after officers said they found about a pound of marijuana in his car trunk.
Police say on Apr. 3, Lawson left his car on the Ravenel Bridge and a police dog found the marijuana.
Cops say the dope was worth about $4,500.
Lawson, a towering man who stands 6'10" and weighs about 300 pounds, was taken to the Charleston County Detention Center. He is expected to appear in court for a bond hearing in the afternoon.
