CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A suspect is in police custody Friday night after an armed robbery occurred in the North Charleston area, but led authorities to Hanahan.
According to police, a robbery happened at the Fairmont Mobile home park. The suspect fled the area, but was later caught inside of a vehicle near Salvo Street in Hanahan.
Hanahan authorities say a gun was also collected from the scene. A K-9 unit was called out to the assist police in searching for the suspect.
The victim told police that the suspect, 20-year-old Danielle Quayshon Branton, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from him.
Branton is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
This incident is under investigation with the North Charleston Police Department.
