NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are looking for 27 year old Christopher Jones.

Jones is wanted on charges of property crime enhancement, a more serious form of shoplifting.

"He likes to take merchandise from stores. Walmart is one of his favorites, and Home Depot, and put it in shopping carts," said Detective Karen MacDonald.

MacDonald said Jones stole computers from expensive tools from the two stores.

"He heads for the nearest emergency exit and runs out the door, loads the stuff in the car and takes off," she explained.

The detective said Jones was caught on store surveillance cameras, but still took the items.

"You have a need I guess, to fill it and the only way you can fill it is by stealing then that's what you do," MacDonald said.

Jones is aware he's a wanted man, according to MacDonald.

"They have talked to him on the phone but he will not come and turn himself in."

Jones stands 6'0" and weighs about 150 pounds.

He's believed to be driving a 1998 silver Honda Civic with South Carolina tags CQD 205.

His last known address was on Theresa Drive on James Island.
