NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -
North Charleston police are still trying to figure out what led to an early-morning shooting Saturday that left one person dead and sent three others to the hospital.
The shooting happened a little before 4 a.m. Saturday in the 2,300 block of Elder Street. Police arrived to find four people suffering from gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 57-year-old Anthony Gailliard, of Hollywood, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Charleston County coroner says Gailliard was shot in the back.
The other victims, two men and a woman, were rushed to the hospital. The condition of the victims are unknown at this time.
Investigators are trying to determine what may have led to the shooting.
