LADSON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has confirmed a man has died following a shooting early Wednesday morning on Ladson Rd.
The victim was found around 4:30am, near Highway 78 and Ladson Square Plaza.
The Sheriff's office says a man was turning on to Highway 78 from Ladson Rd. when another car pulled up behind him.
A man then jumped out of the car and started banging on the window and trying to lift the handle of the car in front of him.
The Sheriff's office says the driver of the first vehicle shot the man and drove to Wannamaker Park to call police because he felt unsafe in that area.
The other car also drove away.
Charleston County deputies are looking for that car and interviewing the alleged shooter.
