LADSON, SC - A man was robbed as he walked home from a convenience store this morning near Ladson.

Maj. John Garrison, spokesman for the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, said the incident happened before 11:30 a.m. outside the E-Z Shop at 4137 Ladson Road.

The victim said a few men whom he knew robbed him and struck his head with a handgun before they ran. Deputies were called to the scene once the victim reached his home on nearby Hickory Lane.

Garrison said the victim’s injuries were not serious.

A short time later, two possible suspects were spotted near Shearwater Drive. It wasn’t immediately known whether they were involved with the robbery.
