WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - 911 calls released from Tuesday's fatal shooting in West Ashley reveal witnesses saw a man in dark-colored clothing fleeing the scene immediately after the incident.
Multiple callers reported seeing the man dressed in all black directly following the shooting.
The calls also suggest witnesses experienced some confusion at what they were seeing.
In two of the calls released by the Charleston Police Department, witnesses describe the incident which happened on 5th Avenue near Ashley River Road as a motor-vehicle accident.
In another, it takes a caller several moments to realize 27-year-old victim Joshua Wilder is actually still inside the overturned SUV. Wilder died late Tuesday night from a gunshot wound.
Police have not identified any suspects.
