BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators are searching for a 55-year-old man suspected of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl as she was playing outside.

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for Ubaldo Calderon-Flores wanted on one count of committing a lewd act upon a child.

The sheriff's office says Flores is suspected of inappropriately touching a young girl as she played outside in the area of Bryant Road on Hilton Head Island.

The victim reported to officials that over the course of the summer, she had repeated contact with Flores whom she would often see while she was playing in the neighborhood.

The girl said Flores would sometimes chase her as she road her bicycle, making sexual advances. During one of these encounters in late September, Flores reportedly inappropriately touched her.

Upon positively identifying Flores, investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest. However, no contact has been made with Flores since his initial interview with law enforcement, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities say Flores has reportedly not been seen at his last known address of 21 Deep Fording Rd., nor has he reported to work since meeting with investigators in early November.

Flores is a Hispanic male, 5'07", 160 lbs and has a tattoo of a heart on his right arm.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ubaldo Calderon-Flores to contact either Investigator Cpl. J. Garcia at 843-255-3413 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
