HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - A Beaufort County man who bought drugs from a Savannah, Ga., drug dealer has filed a complaint that the dealer stole his pickup truck. The Island Packet of Hilton Head reports the 43-year-old man bought the drugs from a dealer named "Bear" several weeks ago. Police say the man didn't have money to pay and the dealer said he could pay later. Authorities say the dealer contacted the man last weekend, and he said he still didn't have the money. The dealer said he would keep the man's truck as collateral and the man picked him up and gave him the truck keys. But on Sunday, the man thought better about it and filed criminal charges against the dealer for stealing his truck. Beaufort County deputies are investigating.
