JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston City Police are looking for James Randall Carpenter.
Carpenter, 32 is wanted on charges of financial transaction card theft. Police say on July 21, 2011 Carpenter used a stolen credit card to get a $100 gift certificate at the Bi Lo on Folly Road.
Investigators say Carpenter was caught on the store's surveillance cameras using the stolen card.
"He was identified as the person who had the card. The card was definitely traced to the stolen card," said Charleston City Police Cpl. Fred Bowie.
Police say the card was stolen from a West Ashley home before it was used at the grocery store, but so far they have not connected Carpenter to that crime.
Carpenter stands 5'6" and weighs about 165 lbs. His last known address was on Folly Road.
