CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston police are looking for the public's help in identifying a man they say helped steal a number of valuable items from a law office downtown in late July, including two Apple MacBooks and a $2,500 Gucci letter opener.

Charleston Police Department officers responded to Hellman Yates – Attorneys at Law located at 145 King Street on July 30.

One of the attorneys at the office told police that when he went to work that Saturday morning he noticed that the door to the office suite was wide open.

Once inside, he noticed that several things were missing from the office, including: two Apple MacBooks, four cell phones, a Gateway NetBook, a wireless keyboard, an Apple Mighty Mouse, eight PowerBars, and the aforementioned Gucci letter opener.

The value of all the items stolen is $9,221, according to the incident report.

Vandalism also occurred in the office, with one attorney's office suffering major damage to drywall, as well as paperwork and athletic trophies being scattered around the room.

The incident report lists the cost of the damage at approximately $2,000.

Surveillance video shows two white male suspects, who appear to be between 17 and 23 years old, carrying computers out of the building. Police said the suspects looked to be between 5'6" and 5'10" and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds.

Charleston police have released a picture of one of the suspects they say was involved with the burglary. If you have any information about this crime or the man pictured in the blue T-shirt, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
