GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) - Two people are on the run after police say they shot two people Wednesday night during a robbery at a Georgetown Chinese restaurant.
The two victims are being treated at Georgetown Memorial Hospital after the shooting, which occurred at Szechuan Restaurant on Highmarket Street. Georgetown police say the suspects from the robbery and shooting are still at large.
According to police, two men walked into the restaurant and robbed the two victims, who are employees at the restaurant. Police say the victims did not speak English and an interpreter is being used during the investigation.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office used a bloodhound team to search the area, but no trace was discovered.
The suspects are described as black males, between 5'8" to 5'10" with stocky build. One suspect was wearing a white tank top and the other had on a gray shirt.
The suspects fled on foot after the robbery and shooting.
As of 8 a.m., both victims were listed in critical but stable condition.
