NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for the person(s) who stole twelve air-conditioning units from the roof of the Gaslite Square Shopping Center this week.
An employee for a heating and air company called North Charleston Police Department on Tuesday when he discovered that twelve AC units were missing and that copper had been stripped from three other units.
One of the tenants at the center, RCW Computers, called the company on Monday at 4 p.m. when they noticed their air conditioner was not working.
The theft affected many other of the tenants in the center, including: The Asian Market, Aerus Electrolux, One Stop Communication, and Pro Pack.
The incident report listed the value of the units at $4,000.
