MONCKS CORNER, SC (WCSC) - A trailer stolen from a Moncks Corner construction company last Thursday has been found less than a mile from where the theft happened.
The owner of WR Controls on Merrimack Boulevard says he got a tip that led him to the trailer.
The trailer theft was caught on surveillance cameras last week. The video shows the suspects driving off with the trailer hitched to their car. The business owner said the thieves cut cable and a lock to get to the trailer.
The three suspects are still at large.
"There's a lot of people who use that same trailer and if they can make a buck off of it they'll get it," said Ernie Richburg.
Richburg's son said he is sure the crooks had been staking out the place.
"They went straight to the trailer, they didn't look at anything else and they went straight to it and they knew how to haul it off," said Bryan Richburg. "It's a heavy duty trailer so they needed a heavy duty hitch."
