BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities have released a picture of a man who they believe robbed the VFW post in Ladson earlier this month.
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office says that the burglary happened on July 9 around 4:20 a.m. at the VFW Post on Bellwright Road. Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. The suspect has a muscular build and appears to be 30 to 40 years of age.
Investigators describe the suspect's vehicle as a late 90's or early 2000 two-door Ford Escort with some kind of sticker or pass in the left front windshield.
An incident report states that the front door of the storage room was found kicked in. Deputies say someone took cases of beer, boxes of wine, 5000 targets and two gun cleaning kits.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 843-719-4412 or 843-723-3800 Ext. 4412.
