GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -
An early morning armed robbery at a Subway Restaurant has the Goose Creek Police Department searching for the suspect, and asking the public for help.
The robbery occurred at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Subway located at 128 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek.
The victim, an employee of Subway, was confronted by a masked man with a handgun when she arrived to open the restaurant. According to police, the suspect came from behind the employee and told her to open the door. Once inside, he demanded the victim to open the safe and give him all of the money.
After receiving the money, the suspect left the restaurant. Police are not sure in which direction he fled. The suspect was identified as a black male, approximately 6'0" in height. He was dressed in all black, and had on a ski mask and gloves.
