NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a gas station in North Charleston early Friday morning.
The North Charleston Police Department says the armed robbery happened at the BP Express at 5154 North Rhett Ave.
According to the clerk, a black male wearing a black ski mask and gloves came around the corner of the building as the clerk was outside retrieving newspapers.
Police say the suspect presented a handgun and ordered the clerk back inside. The suspect then demanded money from the clerk then placed the clerk inside of a walk in cooler before leaving fleeing on foot toward Park Circle, according to a police report.
The clerk was not physically injured.
