NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for a man they say robbed the Circle K convenience store on Dorchester Road at gunpoint last week.
According to police, an armed black male entered the Circle K on West Montague Avenue on the morning of Jan. 6 and approached the clerk, threw a red bag at him and demanded money. Police released several surveillance photos of the suspect Friday.
The suspect took money from the register as well as from a customer, then left the store.
Another store clerk attempted to chase the suspect until the suspect pointed a pistol at him.
The clerk described the suspect as 20 to 25 years of age with a Jamaican accent. The clerk said he was wearing gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The clerk told police that the suspect looked like someone who had been at the store a couple of times before the robbery.
No one was injured during the robbery.
