SUMMERVILLE, SC - Fifteen homeowners in Summerville were awakened by police a little after midnight Wednesday morning and told their car windows had been shot out.
It happened in the Palmetto Park-Robinwood area and Gahagan neighborhood.
Police say it was likely done by kids. "It appears to be someone who got a gift for Christmas, a bb gun, pellet gun, wrist rocket type thing," said Captain Jon Rogers.
Now police hope someone will come forward and in the future parents will keep a better watch on their kids. "If they're leaving in the middle of the night with a pellet gun obviously nothing good is gonna come out of it," said Rogers.
Summerville police say that six of the vandalisms occurred on Jigsaw Road, two were on Black Oak Boulevard, two on Kiawah Circle, one on Pawley Drive and three on North Hickory Street.
Summerville police continue to investigate the vandalism incidents. If you, or someone you know, have any information regarding any crime, you are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers.
