LADSON, SC (WCSC) -
A Ladson woman was hit in the head with gunfire while lying in bed early Wednesday morning, according to Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Antonio.
Just after midnight, deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 4400 block of Farmwood Street in Ladson, Antonio said. Deputies don't know who fired the shots into the house.
Neighbors were interviewed and the area was searched for evidence after the woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition, Antonio said.
