ORANGEBURG, SC - Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office investigators are seeking the person who broke into a vehicle earlier this month.
On April 3, an Orangeburg resident called the sheriff’s office to report someone broke into his pickup truck.
The Moore Road man said he realized someone had broken into his truck when he discovered a .40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun was missing.
When the man checked his security system, he found video of a man entering his truck and removing an object, according to a sheriff’s office release.
The vehicle has a distinct two-tone color as the front passenger’s side fender appears to be darker than the vehicle.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 803-534-3550 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
Investigator Travis Wright is leading the ongoing investigation.
