Charleston, SC (WCBD)- Deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s office are investigating a shooting near Goose Creek.
Authorities say deputies responded to a panic alarm at the Rainbow Mart Store on Old Black River Road just after 3:00 p.m. The caller said that shots were heard near the store. Minutes later, a call reported a ‘drive by shooting’ near Rosedale Avenue and Priceton Drive, which is close to the Rainbow Mart.
Deputies found after an initial investigation that two black males were in a white Toyota Camry. They got out of the vehicle and walked toward the Rosedale Avenue and Princeton Drive intersection. Authorities say someone in a dark vehicle sped by while firing a gun. One of the two in the Camry was shot and taken  to Trident Hospital for surgery.
Authorities believe the suspects were driving a Chrysler 200, or other similar sedan, and is missing a side mirror.
If anyone has information about the shooting, call Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4412 or CrimeStoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111.
