NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are investigating after two people were attacked and robbed upon returning to their home early Wednesday morning.
Police say the incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of Stokes Avenue.
Officers say a male and female victim had just entered their front door when two male suspects dressed in all black followed them in and began to pistol whip the male victim.
During the assault, police say a single shot was fired into the living room floor. The suspects then fled the scene with the victim's wallet and keys.
A witness told police they saw a dark in color Toyota Camry leaving the scene after two men got inside it.
The victim was transported to MUSC.
The incident is under investigation.
