Police investigating late night N. Charleston shooting

NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating a late night shooting that left one man injured.

A spokesman for the police department says officers responded just before midnight Monday to a report of gunshots in the 1800 block of Courtyard Square, near East Montague Avenue. That's where officers say the found a man lying on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound,

A witness who was with the victim told police they were standing in the parking lot when two men, dressed in all black with black skully caps on their heads, ran towards them with guns drawn. The witness turned to run and then heard two shots. The witness says the victim was found a few minutes later, shot.

Police say the male victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown.
