NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - North Charleston are investigating reports of shots fired Sunday afternoon in the North Pointe Plaza parking lot.
Officers on scene say they were told by witnesses that two males were in a conversation at 7400 Rivers Avenue when one of the males got in a vehicle and took off.
Police say while the male was driving off he fired several shots in the air. Moments later, the subject called dispatchers and told them that he fired warning shots at a male subject who was harassing him for a ride, according to officials.
Police say the male driver has been detained and they have found the weapon that was discharged.
No injuries were reported.
