ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell announced Monday night that a suspect in a shooting that killed one person and injured another has been arrested.
Investigators say 37-year-old Tellaferror Randolph was arrested in Santee on Monday for a shooting on Sunday across the street from Club Ambition in Neeses.
Randolph was charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Authorities say Randolph shot a 31-year-old man three times and fatally shot a 28-year-old man in the back as he tried to run away.
"We extend our condolences to the family of the shooting victims and pray for a complete recovery of the survivor," Ravenell said in a press release." Investigators and officers did a thorough job positively identifying Randolph as the suspect as well as locating and arresting him without further incident. To the bad boys who turn into cowards after they commit a crime and run and hide ... I will use every resource available to hunt you down just like you did when you shot at two people."
