DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Dorchester deputies are asking for the public's help to locate a Hollywood man who disappeared Tuesday morning.
Deputies say Rufus Gregory, Sr., 73, was last seen at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when he drove his son to work at a trucking company on Stratford Drive in Summerville. From there, he was supposed to drive straight to his Ravenel residence, according to Gregory's daughter.
Police say no one in the family has heard from or seen Gregory since he dropped off his son at work.
Gregory was last seen driving a gold 2002 Dodge Caravan with South Carolina license plate BMP-222. The vehicle has a dent in the driver side door and a dent on the back bumper, deputies say.
Gregory was last seen wearing blue Dickie-brand pants and a grey collared shirt. He is approximately 5'6" and weighs between 140 to 150 pounds. Deputies say he does not have a cell phone with him.
According to Gregory's daughter, he is in good mental health but does not know the area and may have gotten lost and run out of gas.
Anyone with information on Gregory's whereabouts should contact the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office at (843) 873-5111.
