LADSON, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a 15-year-old was shot and killed in Ladson late Monday night.

According to witnesses, the incident happened in the area of Temple and Lander streets. Captain Rick Ollic says a 15-year-old victim was shot multiple times, and died as a result of the injuries.

Pictures from the scene show investigators had placed multiple evidence markers on the ground.

Residents in the area reported that one person who was injured in the incident was airlifted from the scene.

Ollic says there are no suspects at this time.
