Police in Georgetown ask for help locating robbery, kidnapping suspect

GEORGETOWN, SC (WCBD)- The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating Jimmy Cagle, 39 years of age, whose last known address was 229 Tailwater Trail in Georgetown.

Cagle is wanted for Armed Robbery and Kidnapping in an incident which occurred early Thursday morning February 6.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on February 6, 2014, Cagle held a knife to the victim's throat and took the victim's wallet. While continuing to hold a knife to the victim's throat, Cagle demanded the victim drive him around Georgetown to various locations. Cagle fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash before sheriff's deputies arrived. The victim was not injured during the incident.

Cagle is described as 5'10" in height and weighing 220 pounds. Cagle has three active Assault & Battery Third Degree warrants with the sheriff's office on unrelated cases. Cagle is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with any information relating to the whereabouts of Jimmy Cagle is urged to call the Georgetown
County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
