PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCBD) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying one suspect who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Motel 6 located at 7903 Ocean Highway in the Pawleys Island Community.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on February 6, 2014, one suspect entered the Motel 6 and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The suspect did not brandish a weapon and fled the scene in a gray Toyota Corolla with an undetermined amount of cash. The clerk was not injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'11" in height and weighing 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing light blue shorts, a white hooded sweatshirt, a black beanie hat and sunglasses.
Anyone that can identify the suspect or has any information about the robbery is urged to call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at (843) 546-5101.
