BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC - The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on 44 firearms stolen from the Atlantic Self Storage, 10 Self Storage Road in Beaufort, South Carolina.
The incident occurred between December 1, 2013, at 1800 hours and December 2, 2013, at 0745 hours.
The unknown suspects unlawfully entered the business by cutting the chain-link perimeter fence, causing approximately $500 in damages.
Several security cameras and alarm sensors were smashed/destroyed causing approximately $2,100 in damages. A total of 56 storage units at the facility were broken into. The pad locks were cut off of each unit and left open. The following 44 firearms were stolen out of one unit along with the gun safe’s the firearms were stored in.
A Vietnam era attack knife was also stolen along with the firearms.
