CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police have arrested a man they say filed a false police report after he was shot in the leg.
According to court documents, 20-year-old Corey Renaldo Gabe was admitted to St. Francis Hospital emergence room with a gunshot wound to his right calve.
According to police, Gabe said he was shot Tuesday afternoon during a drive-by shooting while standing in the road.
During the investigation , Gabe admitted to authorities that he lied about the drive-by shooting and told investigators that his gun discharged, while concealed in the waistband of his pants.
Officers arrested Gabe and charge him with filing a false report.
