MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The mother of a man found shot to death in Mt. Pleasant made a tearful plea Thursday for help to find his killer.

Charleston County deputies say the victim, 21 year old Solomon Ancrum was found in a car Wednesday at the end of Dingle Road.

"People need to stop this, stop this. they don't fight with their hands no more. They fight with guns. Please, please, please, stop it, please," said the victim's mother Elaine Ancrum.

Witnesses said they saw two men running away right after the shooting.

"That's my baby boy. That shouldn't have happened. Please Jesus, please, please, please," Elaine Ancrum said.

She says she last saw Solomon Wednesday when she cooked a meal for him.

She says he was supposed to go see his girlfriend and then take a friend to work on Daniel Island.

Then she got the horrible news.

"Oh Lord have mercy. I don't know how I made it. This is just too hard for them to take my baby boy like that," Ancrum said.

Solomon Ancrum's brother says he would help anybody who needed it.

"I just don't understand why somebody would go this far, just to murder him over something so small for whatever it was," Tyrone Saunders said.

Investigators aren't saying if they have a motive for Ancrum's murder.

His family doesn't have any idea what happened.

They just want to know who did it.

"We just want some justice," Saunders said.

"Oh Jesus, please, if anybody knows anything, please, please come forward and say something. Please, I'm begging," Elaine Ancrum said.
