NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police say a building at Brackenbrook Apartments was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a person was found passed out inside an apartment where meth was being cooked.
According to a release, authorities were called out to an apartment at Brackenbrook just after 1 p.m. in reference to a person needed medical assistance.
Police say a person was found passed out inside an apartment. A 20 ounce plastic bottle containing a clear liquid was found in the kitchen. The liquid has a "chemical smell consistent with meth."
Authorities evacuated the building as a precaution, and an investigation is ongoing.
The person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
