Live 5 Most Wanted: Manhunt

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Live 5's Most Wanted has helped law enforcement agencies get hundreds of fugitives off your streets over the last decade, and today we are kicking it up a notch.

Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties have each identified three "Most Wanted" suspects that they want behind bars. Live 5 News will dedicate every newscast Monday to capturing these nine fugitives.

The following suspects are wanted as part of the Live 5 News Most Wanted Manhunt:

Berkeley County's Most Wanted

Devontae Grundy – Deputies say the 21-year-old is wanted on four charges of assault and battery. According to officials, Grundy got into an argument with some people at a home on Matilda Circle in Pineville on November 12, and then fired shots at their car when they tried to leave. Fortunately, no one was injured. Grundy's last known address was on Ceaman Circle in Cross.

Richard Leclerc – Authorities say Leclerc is wanted on several bench warrants after not appearing in court. The warrants include one for criminal domestic violence of an aggravated nature and another for forgery. Deputies say the 26-year-old should be considered dangerous. His last known address was on Poplar Circle in Moncks Corner.

Christopher Cleggett – According to deputies, Cleggett is wanted on a charge of accessory after the fact of murder. Deputies say the 47-year-old was involved in a deadly shooting that happened in the Wando community back in September 2009. Cleggett's last known address was on Madeline Drive in Goose Creek.

Charleston County's Most Wanted

Alvaro Perez Rodriguez – Charleston County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for Rodriguez on charges of third degree criminal sexual conduct. Investigators say the suspect sexually assaulted a woman at a home on Chisolm Road on Johns Island on September 1. Deputies say someone walked in on the alleged assault and fought off Rodriguez, who has not been seen since.

Jose Luis Diaz Perez – Charleston County deputies say Perez is wanted on charges of criminal domestic violence. According to officials, Perez attacked a woman at a home on Dunlap Street on July 30. Deputies say Perez grabbed, shoved and scratched the victim. Officials say Perez is known to hang out at Club Brindis on Ashley Phosphate Road, and may be driving a black Chevy Blazer.

Jonathan Benson – Benson is wanted by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office on charges of Grand Larceny of a motor vehicle, and also by the state Department of Probation and Parole for a probation violation. Deputies say the 45-year-old stole a car from a West Ashley business back in October. His last known address was on Nesbitt Hill Road on Johns Island.

Dorchester County's Most Wanted

Jason Lane – Lane is wanted by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office on charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. According to deputies, the 28-year-old raped a 9-year-old girl in North Charleston. Lane's last known address was on Greenlawn Drive in Columbia.

Albert Lee Scott – Scott is wanted by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office on charges of attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Deputies say Scott fired shots at three people, hitting one of them, on September 29. Investigators say Scott also pistol whipped two of the victims and stole one of the victim's wallets. He is considered very dangerous.

Desmond Davis – Davis is wanted by the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office on charges of armed robbery. Deputies say the 23-year-old was involved in a bank robbery at the First Citizens Bank in St. George on October 9. Investigators say Davis has previous weapons charges and should be considered dangerous.
