Queensland, Australia - A woman who was kidnapped from the Isle of Palms almost two decades ago, has been located and is "safe and healthy," according to U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles. Her mother, Dorothy Lee Barnett, has been charged with international parental kidnapping and false statement in a passport application.
According to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, 11-month-old Savanna Todd went missing in May of 1994.
Barnett was located in Queensland, Australia under several aliases. She will be extradited back to the United States to face charges.
In a statement, Nettles said Todd was also located in Australia and is living "a normal life."
