NORTH CHARLESTON (WCSC) - Charleston County deputies say a fire at a home in North Charleston was caused by a meth lab.
On Sunday night, deputies were called out to a home on Jessen Avenue around 9:30 PM to assist North Charleston firefighters.
Inside the home, deputies found an active meth lab that investigators say caused the blaze.
"I would not have thought it was that, but I did think something was going on over there," said Miriam Davis, who lives down the street.
Deputies arrested 24-year-old James G. Osborne and 24-year-old Jessica R. Tobias. Both are being charged with manufacturing meth as well as possession of a firearm.
Both suspects are currently in the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center. Each had their bond set at $50,000.
