NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are investigating after a vehicle was shot several times late Wednesday night.
According to an incident reported, the victim told police he heard five to six gunshots outside while he was working at Tj's Barber Shop on Dorchester Road just before 10 p.m., but did not think anything of it.
The victim said he got in his car a short time later to go pick up his brother.
Police say the victim claimed he did not realize his vehicle had been shot several times until he got to his brothers place of business.
Officers say three bullet holes were found in the door, the front driver side window was shot out, and the right rear tire was deflated due to a gunshot.
The report states deputies returned to the scene of the business on Dorchester Road to collect shell casings, and removed a slug from the driver side door.
The incident is being investigated as an attempted murder, according to the report.
