CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston Police say they have arrested a teen in connection with a downtown armed robbery that occurred last week.
Anterio Bolton, 18, is charged with armed robbery, first degree assault and battery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. His bond was set at $200,000.
According to police, Bolton and another suspect robbed a man at gunpoint on Conroy Street around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
When the victim refused to empty his pockets, police say one of the suspects hit him in the head with a handgun. The suspects then asked him again to empty his pockets.
Police say the victim was then hit in the head again with the gun, at which point it fired. The suspects then reached into the victim's pockets and took his money.
