CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police are investigating after two suspect made away with 60 packs of cigarettes and an entire cash register during an early morning convenience store break-in earlier this month.
Police say the burglary took place just after 5:30 a.m. on October 6 at Martha's Quick Stop on King Street. Officers arrived to find a large brick beside a shattered front glass door.
According to an incident report, surveillance cameras show the two suspects entering the store and taking cigarettes and the cash register.
The store owner told police 60 packs of Newports worth a total of $325 were stolen. The cash register, which was holding an unknown amount of cash, was worth $2,500.
