NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) -- A woman was charged with shoplifting after she placed a hair weave in her pants and ran out of the store, according to a police report.
Officers said Brittany Bailey, 20, of Charleston, ran out of Star Beauty on Centre Point Drive and hid in the vehicle of a person she did not know.
When officers tried to arrest her, Bailey told them she did not have anything on her and she could not be arrested, the report states.
Bailey tried to resist officer by locking her arms and attempting to pull away, officers said.
A Star Beauty employee identified Bailey as the woman who had put the hair weave in her pants, officers said.
Bailey was charged with shoplifting and resisting a police officer.
According to the report, the hair weave had an estimated value of $10.99.
It was not recovered.
