GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP) - Two women who were sexually assaulted on the campus of Lander University are suing the school for failing to keep them safe.
The suit filed last month accuses the Greenwood school of negligence and breach of contract. Lander officials would not talk about the lawsuit.
Authorities say two former football players at Presbyterian College tied three women up and taped their mouths during the March 2012 attack.
In December, Bobby Henderson III, of Orlando, Fla., was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree burglary, three counts of kidnapping and three counts of criminal sexual conduct.
Nineteen-year-old Cameren Jones is serving a 23-year sentence.
