CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has arrested one person and is looking for another after authorities discovered a meth lab in Lincolnville Monday afternoon.
Investigators have charged 21-year-old Cody Jack Pace of Summerville with manufacturing of methamphetamine and disposal of waste from methamphetamine production.The sheriff's office is looking for 29-year-old David N. Freeman of Lincolnville wanted on the same charges.
According to police, at 2 p.m. on Monday, a search warrant was obtained for a residence on Fiddie Street for reported drug activity. The sheriff's office says information was received that there was possibly a meth lab being operated within a home, and upon corroborating the information, a search warrant was obtained.
Investigators say once inside the home, evidence consistent with the operation of a small meth lab was found. Court records state authorities found Coleman fuel, muriatric acid, pseudoephedrine blister packs, stripped energizer battery shells, a gas generator and multiple soda bottle containing ammonium nitrate and pieces of lithium from previous "cooks."
Pace was arrested at the home during the investigation.
