NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are looking for a suspect they say robbed a gas station clerk Wednesday night.
According to North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor, the robbery happened at the Li'l Cricket at Dorchester Road and Lambs Road just before 9 p.m.
Pryor said the clerk told police a man walked into the store and threatened her with a weapon. The suspect then told the clerk to "pop open the register" and demanded money.
While the clerk worked to get the cash, she says the suspect also ordered her to hand over cigarettes.
After the clerk complied, the suspect fled towards Lambs Road, Pryor said.
The suspect never revealed a weapon.
It was the second North Charleston gas station robbery in one day. Early Wednesday, a clerk at the Exxon at Remount Road and North Rhett Avenue was robbed at gunpoint.
If you have any information about the robbery, call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
