GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC)- A man who was angry about the loud music coming from a car at a gas station resorted to violence, as he pulled out a gun and fired into the air after an argument with the vehicle's owner, police say.
Goose Creek police were called out to Hess Gas Station located at 670 College Park Road on July 25 just before 8:30 p.m. in regards to a shooting.
According to a witness at the scene, an argument broke out between two men. The suspect then pulled out a handgun and fired a single shot over the victim's head before they both drove off.
The victim, who said he needed to collect his thoughts after the shooting, met with police the following day to give his account of the incident.
The victim told police he was inside the gas station when he saw the suspect reach into his car and turn down his music. The two men then began to argue near the gas pumps over the victim's music being too loud.
The report states the suspect then went to his car, grabbed a pistol, and fired a shot while walking towards the victim. When the victim took cover, the suspect got into a silver Toyota Corolla and sped off.
According to an incident report, the case has been administratively closed.
