MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Mount Pleasant police and Charleston City police have arrested a man for over a dozen incidents of indecent exposure.
"I believe I'm the first victim that this happened to," said one of the victims in Crum's bond court hearing Tuesday afternoon. "This happened off of Chuck Dawley. This man came behind me, grabbed me and actually groped me and made me touch himself."
According to Mount Pleasant police, officers responded to US-17 Frontage Road near Bowman Road around 3 p.m. Monday for reports of a man exposing himself to a woman at the bus stop.
"I have reason to believe that this is going to get more violent," said another victim in bond court while she asked the judge for the highest bond. "It's going to progress as time and I feel like if you don't give him a high bond or if you let him out, then -- the person could wind up dead."
Witnesses gave police the suspect's license plate number and officers say they found the vehicle near Shelmore Drive.
Keith Preston Crum, of Bowman, was arrested without incident. Documents say he is a registered sex offender due to a 2004 aggravated assault and battery charge against a 13-year-old girl.
Now, Charleston City investigators have connected Crum to other incidents around Mt. Pleasant and Charleston.
Crum now faces 10 counts of indecent exposure and two counts of first-degree assault by Mt. Pleasant police. Charleston City police added three counts of indecent exposure and one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Crum's wife was also in court and apologized to the alleged victims.
"If it happened or not, I don't know. I just have to say I'm very, very sorry if it did. I can't even imagine putting myself in your shoes," she said.
Crum's wife said she and her husband have been married for six years. In that time, she says she has never seen this sort of behavior.
"This is the side that I don't know," Crum's wife said. "I mean he had a steady job, Christian of course, the church, I mean he has so much going for him."
Officials said the incidents date back to April.
